Tim Occhipinti goes rogue off his binder script

Videoed for your pleasure one bought and paid for council seat occupied by Tim Occhipinti, fresh off another "victory" with hundreds of paid vote by mail "campaign workers,' courtesy of the largese of Councilwoman "Street Money" Mason.  (She's invested at least $30,000 for that 4th ward seat in not much more than six months.)

Occhipinti interjects during a meaningless and grandstanding meeting on error prone budget figures and useless budget amendments and goes off his script.  Earlier he chimes in at the "request" of Beth Mason on what the council should do with its legally invalid budget amendment.  Occhipinti cheerily urges a vote anyway and of course that's exactly what the Beth Russo hydra does killing an hour no one will ever get back in their life again.

What happens when Tim Occhipinti strays from his binder and his "marching orders," due to a dull consistent throbbing boredom in his head and acts out on a little less than self-aware projection against Councilman Ravi Bhalla.

Councilman Dave Mello is having none of it. Although he notes Councilman Mike Russo receives plenty of text during meetings, he never says who they are coming from.

Would you like to know one believed among select others regularly texting Mike Russo at council meetings?  He was actually present at the meeting last night sitting quietly on what may be his handiwork in the error prone budget numbers and amendment fiasco.

Anthony Pasqaule former housing director under Mayor Anthony Russo Wednesday night.

Talking Ed Note: Mike Russo says his life is an open book.  MSV officially invites him to submit phone records so text can be verified during Council meetings.  We don't expect him to take us up on the offer.

Now why would Anthony Pasquale be texting Mike Russo?  Pasquale was on Beth Mason's council slate in the spring 2009 mayoral race.  Of course we all believe Beth Mason who says the claim by Mike Russo in an FBI surveillance video that he choose Mason's slate is untrue.  Why she even later invited the media to ask them.

So if that's true why does Anthony Pasquale text Mike Russo during meetings?
Shouldn't he be texting Beth Mason?

The more you know...

Sign of the Times: Dave Mello and Mike Russo in post meeting text showdown

The argument over texting on the City Council dais shamefully started by Tim Occhipinti peering at Councilman Ravi Bhalla's text message on a later appointment with Mayor Zimmer and Hoboken residents led to a post meeting showdown on the matter.

Council members Dave Mello and Mike Russo continued the discussion about texting and in somewhat rough terms.  Mike Russo complained he received text from his wife and got personal with Dave Mello and insinuated the discussion could be escalated to a more physical venue.

Councilman Dave Mello refused to back down noting Councilman Mike Russo would be wise not to act on his suggestion right there on the City Council dais.

"You talk'in to me?"  Councilmembers Dave Mello and Mike Russo continued the discussion on texting after the meeting had ended.  Dave Mello did not give ground then and not during the meeting.

Talking Ed Note: This was easily the worst meeting witnessed even with it going just over an hour.  The Beth Russo minority is not pleased losing power.  They are angry, carping and bitter their budget ruse to deplete the city of its surplus and strap the town into an impossible position failed.  Councilwoman Beth Mason continued pointing her finger at everyone but herself.

It was the worst behavior seen by this eyewitness.  It would be wise for everyone to take note of what's transpired over recent months and run the meeting with stern professionalism following the rules and providing members their time to voice their thoughts and then act accordingly.

What took place last night and over some months has been a testament to what little regard some members on the Council hold for their colleagues, the institution, the public and Hoboken.  They think Hoboken is their fiefdom to do with as they please and railroad anyone in their way.

Perhaps that too will change beyond the ceremony tomorrow.  Perhaps soon.

It's one day before showtime!

City of Hoboken announces:

CITY COUNCIL INAUGURATION FRIDAY, JULY 1 AT 11 AM

Friday, July 1st at 11 AM at Hoboken City Hall, residents are invited to the 2011 Hoboken City Council Inauguration. The brief, simple ceremony will be held on the front steps of City Hall. In the event of rain, the ceremony will be held in the Municipal Council Chambers. New Jersey Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno will be attending as an honored guest.

Seating will be limited and available as first come, first serve. A portion of Washington Street will be shut down for the ceremony but traffic will flow as normal.

The annual reorganization meeting of the City Council will take place promptly afterwards at noon.

Talking Ed Note: This will be a historic day and it will be memorable in ways MSV for the moment can not say.  If you attend, you will not be disappointed.  Don't ask why, you can thank us later.

See you at The Show.
