Hospital parking agreement passes saving HUMC

The parking agreement a critical portion of an overall agreement saving Hoboken University Medical Center from closure passed 5-4.  The agreement paves the way in a final chapter keeping the hospital operating as an acute care facility.  Officially the sale should be completed tomorrow and Hoboken taxpayers relieved of the $52 million guarantee.

Meeting pt. 1

A follow up resolution was then brought to the table asking the agreement be made effective immediately so a typical 20 day waiting period would not be necessary as the hospital does not have the needed funds to operate through the waiting period.

MORTe saw the opportunity for sabotage and once again quickly jumped into action.  If unable to stop the sale of the hospital and force its closure, once again the Beth Russo hydra showed its real intent and went to inflict more damage by unanimously voting no.

The vote required two-thirds approval and MORTe re: death - (Mason-Occhipinti-Russo-Terry Castellano) eagerly voted no putting the hospital in an immediate precarious position as it moves from City ownership to Holdco.

After the vote, Councilman Russo out of order as ever said aloud, "The sky is falling, the sky is falling" belittling the hospital's situation.  (But don't say they are against saving the hospital.)

The special meeting is notable not only for the last action to save the hospital and keep it open but for the bitterness by MORTe.  Councilwoman Beth Mason gave a prepared speech standing by the misinformation she's been feeding the public over months leading into the sale.  Specifically, she repeated one lie disproved on MSV, Grafix Avenger and the State of NJ along with Corporation Counsel Mark Tabakin saying the parking licensing of transponders for the hospital constitutes an "illegal parking agreement."

Mason provided no legal support for her claim. She later bizarrely spoke of taking some issue to the public and sponsoring a referendum.  It's unclear what she is talking about or how any such vote by the public for or against would matter.

Update: Apparently, Mason is taking the defeat of her sabotage of the hospital very badly.  She's saying she will try to undermine the hospital by taking a referendum and nullify its parking agreement.  No doubt Ricky Mason will be funding the effort along with massive amounts of absentee ballots keeping his wife busy.  Way to go Wachtell!

Beth Mason's cameraman was also back filming at the meeting.  Perhaps a new commercial will be made extensively editing the comments of people to put forward some new Mason411 plan.

Talking Ed Note: MSV has held that MORTe with Beth Mason working furiously behind the scenes to sabotage the hospital sale have wanted to see Hoboken and the hospital befall the worst possible fate.

When told the hospital is out of money and needs the parking agreement made effective immediately to allow the closing to go through, MORTe eagerly, eagerly voted it down with Mike Russo mocking the hospital's plight.

On a night that should be a big victory for Hoboken saving its hospital and relieving the taxpayers of a huge $52 million bond guarantee, MORTe showed not only its displeasure the hospital is saved but beared its claws for all to see.  Not one of them even mentioned the $52 million dollar bond guarantee around the necks of the Hoboken taxpayers.

MORTe is very dangerous and looks to be fully intent on sabotaging if not destroying Hoboken.
The evidence is in plain sight but MSV will help people to see it for themselves.  Video to come.

Hospital Parking Agreement in Special City Council meeting @ 7:00

For all the marbles and Beth Mason's incalculable investment in stopping it, the hospital sale's last required component - the parking agreement is up to bat tonight.

We'll be hearing lots of complaints, lots and lots and none of them will matter one iota.

The Beth Russo hydra can politrick all they wish till the cows come home to Church Towers and none of it matters. They can howl about a 99 year continuation of the parking agreement, talk about imaginary 150+ million dollar giveaways and pile up the lies as on Beth Mason's witless commercial lacking any coherency or accuracy and well, it's all over but the shouting.

The hospital will be saved!
The hospital bond of $52 millions on the backs of the taxpayers will be relieved.
Hoboken's finance rating as a result WILL GO UP!

Beth Mason faces the biggest defeat in her single-minded purpose of ambition. In 2007, she attempted to stop the City of Hoboken from making a mistake in taking over the hospital. Her continuous efforts to work with a radical nurse's union leadership and a failed hospital bidder (P3) that has NEVER delivered adds up to one huge defeat.

MORTe has fought against the winning bidder Holdco continuously since January. So don't expect them to go easy into the night tonight. They remain earnest and dedicated in their sabotage of Hoboken. MORTe just wishes it could produce one more vote and see Hoboken crushed under the massive weight of the hospital's closure with mega tax increases along with equally bad layoffs. That they've determined is their PATH TO POWER.

Yes, they are that craven.

This is the same Beth Russo hydra with the singular intent to stop the best and only bidder that met all the criteria for keeping the hospital open.  When they had their first opportunity to aid in helping the hospital reach the finish line, they tried everything they could to stop it.  They never voiced any real alternative with the hospital days from closure.

But hey, that's MORTe living up to their name from the original Italian: Death.
Tune in at 7:00 and you'll see and hear it for yourself.

Beth Mason's narrative blown to smithereens

Beth Mason's last gasp attempting to sully the last component of the Holdco hospital sale via the parking agreement has come undone before the special meeting tonight.
The parking agreement with the hospital sale will go through tonight, no matter what Mason de Pinocchio above does.  MORTe will get a taste of its namesake.  It's Death to Sabotage.

MSV explored the legal angle yesterday and found it wasn't holding water, even revealed by couched language in a press release by Beth Mason herself.

Spelling it out beautifully for the layman and dunce politicians, Grafix Avenger sought out her legal department, "Not Stempler" who bills at $850 an hour and knows a canard when he sees one.  He tore into the Mason mythology of a "possibly illegal agreement" and laid waste to the foolishness of politicians who step into intellectual pools for which they are ill equipped.

Read the Grafix Avenger masterpiece at the link below.  It's a thing of beauty:

Talking Ed Note: Sadly, the Star Ledger really got exposed on the hospital story as holding an ax to grind and made big errors in coverage of the hospital sale including its story last Friday.  It misled the public to thinking a Mason fed story on the parking agreement being possibly outside of state law was accurate.

MSV gives a pass to Beth Mason's host for all her local Hoboken political operations, Perry Klaussen at Hoboken411.  He's just doing the fascist work he always does.

MSV Premium Content: MORTe budget sabotage puts EVERYTHING and everyone on the table for layoffs

At the City Council meeting last Wednesday night, an intriguing exchange occurred on the subject of public safety and what result occurs if the budget busting bomb is deployed.  Councilwoman Terry Castellano the T and e in MORTe was pleased with herself to raise the issue knowing as she said the answer.

Terry Castellano and Beth Mason listen to the bond counsel explain the necessity of the refinance of the midtown garage.  No amount of logic would move them along with the vast majority of the public.  They had a plan to sabotage Hoboken and nothing was going to stop them from their cynical endeavor.
