Concerned Hoboken residents for the Hoboken fire victims announce:
Please join us at Room 84 on Friday, December 30th, 2011 from 6pm to 9pm to help raise money and collect needed items for the Hoboken residents displaced by the tragic fire on Jackson Street here in Hoboken on Saturday morning December 17th.
The fundraiser will offer various silent auction items and raffle prizes. An unspecified monetary donation at the door is asked and all in attendance will receive a complimentary drink at the bar for that donation, the rest of the night there will be a cash bar.
The residents who were effected have lost everything they had. All furniture, clothing, computers, personal effects are gone. A Paypal account will go up shortly to collect donations from those of you who may not be able to attend the event.
We are also in search of new or gently pre owned clothing both career styles and personal styles, shoes new or used, new or used computers / laptops, household sundries such as shampoos, lotions, conditioners, toothpastes. New or used cell phones, ipods, kindles, digital cameras and other electronic devices new or used will be accepted.
We are searching for generous Hoboken residents who work in a field where they might be able to acquire items for our silent auction. Sporting event tickets, concert tickets, handbags, consumer goods and more are sought by the people of Hoboken, NJ. The more items we can auction and raffle off, the more money the victims of the fire will have.
If you are unable to attend the event and have an item to donate please bring to the following locations, this list will expand as we await others to help participate as drop off centers.
