Next steps in the waterfront battle vs. the Monarch Project

Hoboken Residents for a Public Waterfront announce:

We were thrilled to hear from many of you after announcing our victory at the Hudson County Planning Board.  Unfortunately, the fight continues as Shipyard Associates has the ability to appeal the county planning board's decision.  Here are some updates from Hoboken Residents for a Public Waterfront.

1. The Hoboken Planning Board meeting to hear the Monarch application has been rescheduled to April 3, 2012.  Shipyard Associates has requested this delay to respond to concerns raised by the planning board's planner and engineer.  We will provide further information when it becomes available.  This meeting is still very important and one of our best opportunities to be heard.  We sincerely hope that these postponements do not undermine the significance of Hoboken residents attendance.

2. Fund for a Better Waterfront posted two great articles on their website last week.  We wanted to share them with you: http://betterwaterfront.org/?page_id=1590 and http://betterwaterfront.org/?page_id=1579

3. We are looking for a graphic designer to assist us in creating a newspaper ad to further spread our message.  Please email us back if you or someone you know would be willing to volunteer their time.

Thank you again for all your support.

Sincerely,
Hoboken Residents for a Public Waterfront
