Fresh Films by Young Filmmakers:
Urban Image Presents "Summer Docs Showcase"
The film-making group Urban Image from New Jersey City University will present a series of short films profiling interesting local people in their "Summer Docs Showcase" at the Hoboken Historical Museum this Thursday, at 8 pm.
This engaging evening of documentaries by NJCU students tells stories of exceptional people -- some of whom struggle with homelessness, some who make art, and one who lives out his dreams in unusual ways (Hoboken's own Batman). The series is curated by Professor Jane Steuerwald and features work by Felix Rodriguez, Makisha Rodriguez, Nandy Santos, and Marco Vidal.
Join the filmmakers at a reception afterwards in the Museum's open-air walkway at 1301 Hudson Street. Admission is free and refreshments will be served. Free parking is available at the Littleman Parking-Independence
Garage, located at 12th Street and Shipyard Lane, for up to three hours with validated tickets.
