Council President Ravi Bhalla: Hoboken council election, festival voter registration and attending the papal mass

Dear Friends and Neighbors –

In just a few short weeks on Nov. 3, Hoboken will hold very important elections for six City Council ward seats.
I am very excited about the candidates I am supporting: 1st Ward Candidate Michael DeFusco, 2nd Ward Candidate Tiffanie Fisher, 4th Ward Candidate Dana Wefer, 5th Ward Councilman Peter Cunningham, and 6thWard Councilwoman Jennifer Giattino. Having these knowledgeable and dedicated residents as colleagues on the City Council will allow Hoboken to truly thrive and continue to improve. In order to ensure that Hoboken has the best representation possible, we need your help!
On October 6 at 6:30 p.m., I hope you’ll join Mayor Zimmer and I, along with Michael, Tiffanie, Dana, Peter, Jen, and many of your neighbors at Arthur’s Tavern (237 Washington St. in Hoboken) for a fundraiser to benefit those candidates for their upcoming election.
These candidates have already been working hard and spreading the word about their plans for Hoboken. I hope you’ll take this opportunity to meet with them (as well as the Mayor and I) to discuss the issues that are important to you!
Suggested contribution levels are $250 (guest), $500 (host) or $1,000 (chair). Checks can be made out to “Team Zimmer for Hoboken” and mailed to: 45 Essex Street, Suite 204, 2nd Floor, Hackensack, NJ 07601.
Upcoming Hoboken Arts and Music Festival
This Sunday, September 27, I will have a table at the Hoboken Arts and Music Festival on Washington Street. Please take a moment to stop by and say hello. I sponsored a table at the Festival in order to register voters and discuss any issues that are important to you. I will post the exact location of my table on my Facebook page on Sunday morning. Hope to see you there!
More exciting news…
This evening, I am very proud to be able to represent the City of Hoboken at Madison Square Garden for a Mass by Pope Francis. Hoboken is a community with many Catholics, and I am honored to be attending on behalf of the members of our City.
As always, if you have any questions, concerns, or need assistance with anything, feel free to call me at (201) 647-6090 or email me at councilmanbhalla@gmail.com.
Sincerely,
Councilman Ravinder S. Bhalla
