Tiffanie Fisher announces candidacy for Hoboken City Council, 2nd Ward

Tiffanie Fisher makes it official as a candidate in the Hoboken second ward council race:

Hoboken, NJ – Tiffanie Fisher officially announced today the launch of her campaign to represent the 2nd Ward on the Hoboken City Council. Members of the public are invited to a campaign kickoff event on September 17 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Ganache Café at 1500 Hudson Street in Hoboken.

Commenting on her decision to run for City Council, Tiffanie said: “I have been a resident of Hoboken for 21 years and of Hoboken’s 2nd Ward since 2000. In what is a short time compared to those who have lived here for generations, I have seen Hoboken evolve into the wonderful city it is today. I am running for Hoboken City Council because our city still faces a number of complex challenges. Among them is the need to alleviate congestion and traffic, replace aging infrastructure, ensure responsible development, make our roads safe, secure reliable transportation, and stabilize taxes. To help keep Hoboken moving in the right direction, 2nd Ward residents deserve to be represented by an experienced leader who can navigate and tackle these challenges while also remaining committed to representing their best interests. I am that leader. I have more than 22 years of finance, real estate and management experience and for the last four years I have actively been engaging with, informing and advocating on behalf of the residents of Hoboken’s 2nd Ward on the issues affecting us most. I am committed to continuing to work to ensure that Hoboken remains a place for families to live for many more generations to come.”

Tiffanie is already working for Hoboken 2nd Ward residents. She is leading the effort against The Applied Companies’ proposed Monarch at Shipyard development, which is threatening Hoboken’s master plan for an end-to end public waterfront and as part of this effort she co-founded Hoboken Residents for a Public Waterfront. She has been twice appointed to the Hoboken Zoning Board (2014 and 2015) and in her role as President of the Hudson Tea Buildings’ condominium association she coordinated pedestrian safety efforts on 15th Street resulting in new stop signs at the intersection of Bloomfield Street.

Tiffanie added: “I believe in serving the community by connecting the people with their government. I want to ensure that their voices are heard. All I ask is that residents join my team to ensure that Hoboken remains a great place to live.
