BREAKING FEDERAL ARRESTS:
Old Guard favorite son of the fourth ward and long time intimate friend of Carmelo Garcia - Christopher Campos, a former fourth ward Hoboken City Councilman is charged by the New York Department of Justice being part of a four member group conspiring to obtain 200 new cars through fraudulent means.
Campos was the top paid Assembly aide to Carmelo Garcia at $40,000 annually when his term expired and he was replaced last November.
According to a DOJ criminal filing, the alleged conspiracy involving Campos and three other men was under investigation while he was the paid Chief of Staff to former NJ Assemblyman and failed Hoboken sixth ward council candidate Carmelo Garcia.

Two Bergen County men were among four people arrested Wednesday and charged in a $7 million scheme to use straw buyers and phony loan applications to fraudulently obtain more than 200 new automobiles, federal authorities in Manhattan said.
The defendants, Julio Alvarez, 47, and Christopher Campos, 39, both of Fort Lee; Marco Blasio, 52, of Commack, N.Y., and Geuris Ramos, 38, of The Bronx, N.Y., were charged in a criminal complaint with conspiracy to commit bank and wire fraud, and one count each of bank fraud and wire fraud.
