DAS PUMP II - It's Alive!

As the scaffold has come down around the worksite of Hoboken's second flood pump underground at Maxwell Place, word is getting out the pump is now operational.

A public recognition of the pump's readiness was mentioned on Second Ward Councilwoman Tiffanie Fisher's Facebook page related to communications with North Hudson Sewerage Commissioner Tony Soares.

The final efforts to fix the street shows much progress on that front too. The big win for Hoboken with the second flood pump going live means significant relief for the west side of town around the ShopRite.

Word is we need a good rainfall to test out Das Pump II.

The site of Hoboken's second flood pump. The unofficial word is it's functional and ready to go if need be.
Work is being completed above ground to complete the last part of the project.

Mayor Zimmer announces Phil Murphy visit to Hoboken, her fundraiser tonight

Hi Horsey & MSV readers --

I want to introduce you to my friend, Phil Murphy, and let you know why I support Phil to be the next Governor of New Jersey.

I've gotten to know Phil over the past several years as someone who is deeply passionate about our state.  Phil is committed to addressing the critical issues impacting municipalities all across New Jersey, and has a plan to grow our economy, invest in our infrastructure needs and improve our education system.

Phil is not your average politician.  In fact, as an outsider to the political process, I know Phil has the vision and business acumen to approach our state's critical issues without the "politics as usual" attitude.  Phil took this very approach when he served his country as the United States Ambassador to Germany, helping strengthen ties between the two countries.

Above all else, I know Phil to be an honest individual, a man of his word, and exactly the type of person we need to restore trust and confidence in Trenton next November.

On Thursday, October 20, I'm thrilled to host a meet and greet with Weehawken Mayor Richard Turner for Phil in Hoboken at Ainsworth (310 Sinatra Drive) from 8-10 pm.  I hope you can join us, and hear more from Phil about his vision for New Jersey.  The event is free of charge, please RSVP by clicking here as space is limited.

Thanks,
Dawn Zimmer
PS - I hope you can also join me tomorrow for my fall fundraising reception (October 18 at 6:30 pm at 10th and Willow).  Please click here for more details and to RSVP.
